Botox and Xeomin - soften lines and help with hyperhidrosis

One of the causes of facial lines and wrinkles is the repeated creasing of the skin through facial expressions – frowning, squinting, pursing, smiling and raising of the eyebrows. Botox or Xeomin (neurotoxins) injected into the appropriate muscles will relax the muscle function that enables those expressions. By relaxing the muscle that repeatedly creases the skin, the skin is able to repair itself. The lines and/or wrinkles often disappear or are significantly softened, depending on the severity of the damage. Botox and Xeomin do not add volume or fill lines.

Fillers - replace volume and/or fill lines

The aging process affects our face in many ways and the loss of facial fullness starts in our twenties. Over time, the loss of volume in our faces is one of the most visually obvious signs of aging. Injectable fillers, such as Juvederm or Radiesse, are an instant result and are used to replace lost volume and/or fill lines as a non-surgical approach to facial rejuvenation. Juvederm and Radiesse can plump thin or creased lips, augment cheekbones, chin or jawline, restore volume to soft tissue areas such as cheeks.  The addition of fillers will decrease the appearance of creases and wrinkles, and can improve the appearance of recessed scarring. Depending on the area of correction and the overall objective, there are different products that can be customized to achieve the desired goal.

Both the gel and the microspheres are completely broken down by the body over time.

BELOTERO BALANCE is an  injection that is used to temporarily smooth out and fill in fine lines and nasolabial folds (the folds or wrinkles that go from the side of the nose to the corner of the mouth).

TheJUVÉDERM® Collection of fillers are injectable gels made from modified hyaluronic acid, which is a naturally occurring sugar found in the human body.

• JUVÉDERM® XC  injectable gel is for injection into areas of facial tissue where moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds occur to temporarily add volume to the skin, especially around the nose and mouth- is used for lip augmentation for fuller plumper lips.

Kybella - reduce fat under the chin

What is it?  What does it do?  Kybella is an injectable treatment that permanently destroys fat under the chin to reduce the appearance of your “double chin”.  Kybella is a deoxycholic acid, a naturally occurring molecule in the body that aids in the breakdown and absorption of dietary fat.  When injected into the fat under the chin, Kybella breaks down the existing fat cells and the body naturally disposes of them.  Once the fat cells in that area are destroyed, they can no longer store or accumulate fat.

What can I expect?  Each treatment is multiple injections under the chin and following treatment, patients can expect swelling, bruising and/or numbness that may resolve in 5-7 days.  2 to 4 treatments are required, spaced 6 weeks apart, in order to reach desired goal- depending on the amount of existing fat.  Once the aesthetic response is achieved, further treatment should not be necessary.
