Facial Aesthetics
Body contouring may include anything from RF energy to tighten skin and melt fat to the surgical removal and repair of tissue. Body goals vary and the ways to achieve them may depend on budget, time and level of expectation. A comprehensive consultation can establish realistic goals with these factors in mind.

Micro-needling - volumize, tighten and resurface
What is it? What does it do? Micro-needling uses fine “micro-needles” and radio frequency technology, creating micro-wounds, to trigger the body’s natural healing response. The treatment stimulates the production of new collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid to strengthen and build the skin’s underlying structure, helping with the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and scarring.
What can I expect? Immediately following treatment, your skin may feel hot and appear red. Heat and redness should subside within a couple of hours and there may be some tiny micro-scabbing which will heal and disappear in a few days. Results will appear in the weeks following, as the skin restructures itself. Micro-needling will help the skin become tighter, firmer, diminish fine lines and wrinkles and help with the appearance of scarring. In order to get the best results, a series of treatments is recommended.
TruSculpt - reduce fat under the chin
What is it? What does it do?
Trusculpt is a non-invasive technology, using RF (radio frequency,) that delivers heat deep into a targeted area for the purpose of sculpting, tightening and reducing the fat. Trusculpt can be used on different parts of the body- wherever there is fat (e.g. abdomen, thighs, buttocks, arms, under the chin). It is generally used as a detailing procedure to target difficult areas not addressed by diet and exercise. During the treatment, a hand held electrode is placed on the skin and the RF heat is delivered deep and evenly into the tissue. A series of pulses, lasting 4-5 minutes each, are placed individually along the targeted area. The heat stimulates the fat, causing the fat cells to break down and at the same time tightens the overlying skin. The body naturally rids itself of the excess fat cells.
What can I expect? How many treatments do I need?
Immediately following treatment some minor redness and swelling may occur and should resolve within a few hours. There is no downtime from the procedure. It may take one to three months to see results and for best results, 3 to 4 treatments 3 to 8 weeks apart is recommended.
Kybella - reduce fat under the chin
What is it? What does it do? Kybella is an injectable treatment that destroys fat under the chin to reduce the appearance of your “double chin”. When injected into the fat under the chin, Kybella breaks down the fat cells and the body naturally disposes of them. Once the fat cells in that area are destroyed, they can no longer store or accumulate fat.
What can I expect? Each treatment is multiple injections under the chin and following treatment, patients can expect some swelling, bruising or numbness that should resolve in 5-7 days. It may take 3 to 4 treatments spaced 1 month apart in order to reach desired goal, depending on the amount of existing fat.
ThermiRF - fat reduction, skin tightening and collagen building
What is it? What does it do?
ThermiRF is an innovative technology using heat delivered via radio frequency to tighten skin, reduce fat and rebuild collagen. ThermiRF has several different applications, ThermiSmooth, ThermiTight and ThermiVa.
ThermiSmooth – Is a non-invasive procedure that tightens skin and stimulates collagen, thereby reducing skin laxity. Radio frequency energy is delivered into a targeted area on the surface of the skin, by a small hand held device and a set temperature is maintained for an appropriate amount of time. It is generally recommended to have three or four treatments one month apart for maximum effect. Recommended for treatment around eyes and around mouth.
ThermiTight – Is a minimally invasive procedure, whereby a thin probe that delivers heat, is inserted under the skin. The probe heats the tissue to a set temperature in the targeted area and the thermal energy melts fat, stimulates collagen and tightens the skin. ThermiTight can be used in many different areas to treat small areas of fat and loose skin. Examples: neck, abdomen, tricep area, thighs, etc.
ThermiVa – Is a non-invasive treatment to restore feminine wellness in terms of vaginal rejuvenation. Aging, childbirth, hormones and menopause can cause both physical and functional changes in a woman’s body. ThermiVa treatments use radiofrequency energy to gently heat tissue to rejuvenate collagen and tighten tissue. Multiple benefits have been documented for patients who have complained about vaginal laxity, dryness and stress incontinence. Multiple treatments are recommended, approximately 3-4 weeks apart. There is no downtime.
Eyelid Surgery - blepharoplasty
What is it? Eyelid surgery, also known as blepharoplasty, improves the appearance of the upper eyelids, lower eyelids, or both. It gives a rejuvenated appearance to the surrounding area of your eyes, making you look more rested and alert. Blepharoplasty includes repairing droopy eyelids by removing excess skin, muscle and fat. As you age, your eyelids stretch, and the muscles supporting them weaken. As a result, excess fat may gather above and below your eyelids, causing sagging eyebrows, drooping upper lids and bags under your eyes. Besides making you look older, severely sagging skin around your eyes can impair your peripheral or side vision. Blepharoplasty can reduce or eliminate such impaired vision. To help decide if blepharoplasty is right for you, find out what results you can realistically expect and take time to explore the benefits and risks of the procedure.
A blepharoplasty procedure is usually performed on adult men and women who have healthy facial tissue and muscles and who also have realistic goals for improvement of the upper and/or lower eyelids and surrounding area. The following conditions could indicate that eyelid surgery is right for you:
- Baggy or puffy upper eyelids
- Excess skin obscuring the upper eyelid fold
- Extensive drooping of the upper eyelid
- Droopy lower eyelids that may cause white of the eye to show below the iris
- Excess skin and fat pockets below the eyelids
- Hollows or “dark circles” around the lower eyelids
- Asian patients who want a defined upper or “double” eyelid crease
Facelift - rhytidectomy
What is it? The facelift, also known as rhytidectomy, is a surgical procedure used to improve the signs of aging in the facial skin. A facelift can tighten sagging facial skin, remove deep wrinkles, lines and creases, eliminate fatty deposits along the jawline (jowls), and also firm the neck area. Facial skin will appear younger, firmer and smoother.
Over the years, the facelift procedure has changed from simple skin lifting that left patients looking like their faces were being pulled back, to more complex deeper plane lifting techniques that lift and reposition the facial features in a much more natural looking way. While loose skin can be tightened by a facelift, the texture of the skin will not be changed by a facelift. If you have sun damage, wrinkles around the mouth, irregularities in skin color, acne scars, and/or age spots, you may want to also consider medical skin care or skin-resurfacing procedures in combination with a facelift to get optimal results. A facelift can be done in combination with other facial cosmetic procedures, such as a brow lift or eyelid surgery to give a more balanced, natural rejuvenation.
Browlift - elevate eyebrows
What is it? As a person ages they begin to lose elasticity in their skin, and the muscle and fat begins to lose its tone. This results in an appearance of being old, tired, sad, or angry. The brow lift (or forehead lift) procedure is designed to restore a more vibrant, youthful look by repositioning a low or sagging brow, and tightening the skin that may be wrinkled or creased across the forehead.
While skin on the brows can be tightened by a brow lift, the texture of the skin will not be changed by a brow lift. If you have sun damage, wrinkles in your lower face, irregularities in skin color, acne scars, and/or age spots, you may want to also consider skin-resurfacing procedures in combination with a brow lift to improve the skin. The following conditions could indicate that a brow lift surgery is right for you: • Have a low or sagging forehead (a sad or tired appearance) • Have deep horizontal creases across the forehead • Have deep frown lines, or furrows, between the eyebrows • Have other signs of aging in the brow region. A brow lift can be done in combination with other facial cosmetic procedures, such as eyelid surgery or a facelift to give a more balanced, natural rejuvenation.
Neck Lift - neck rejuvenation
Some people feel they are not ready for a full facelift but are unhappy with excess wrinkling of the neck skin, a “turkey wattle” or double chin, and jowl lines. A neck lift is a surgical procedure that improves visible signs of aging in the jawline and neck, such as:
- Excess fat and skin relaxation in the lower face that creates jowls
- Excess fatty deposits under the chin
- Loose neck skin
- Muscle banding in the neck, which created abnormal contours
- The loss of youthful contours in the face and neck can be due to a variety of factors, including heredity, gravity, environmental conditions, and stress.
When the neck area doesn’t match the upper facial appearance, a neck lift may be a good solution.
A neck lift can only be performed surgically; non-surgical rejuvenation treatments cannot achieve the same results, but may help delay the time at which a neck lift becomes appropriate and complement the results of surgery.
